Being asked to "Step Aside" in an airport is never fun....

Well .....today has been an adventure. First of all...I bought a Cherry Dr. Pepper at a gas station before I got on the shuttle to Salt Lake. I didn't open it, and once I got the airport security line I was "Kindly" reminded by the security guard I couldn't have it. So she whips it out of my backpack and throws it at me and she goes "Take a swig, and throw it away". I didn't want to disobey her....So I opened it up, and it fizzed EVERYWHERE!!!! It got on the people behind me...in front of me...all over ME....on the floor...people were stepping in it. It was a mess. So the lady goes to get me a rag. While she is gone someone else comes up with a rag and so I start cleaning it up. ANOTHER security guard freaks out and goes "IS THAT BLOOD? IS THAT BLOOD?!" (it was CHERRY dr. pepper mind you....so it was red). After that it just went downhill. I got "Pulled aside" into a separate room...and they brought in the trash can that I "discarded my evidence" into. I had to drink some of it. haha. And then they patted me down (full body...freaky) plus I got scanned by that naked scanner thing. I had to show them all of my ID, etc. And I was questioned about my birthdate...social security number...etc. There is nothing more nerve wrecking then being questioned like that.
After I was getting my stuff from the X-ray scanner, i was trying to pile it all in my backpack and i was dropping stuff and shaking and the security guy was like "Come sit over here with me...Take a minute to breathe" and he sat me on a bench and chuckled (He was a cute old man) and he talked to me for a minute then went back to work. He made my day hahahaha.
So. Next section of the story. The person behind me that I spilled Dr. Pepper on.....GUESS WHO!
It was Jack Antonoff from my favorite band FUN!!! He is the piano player of the band and I love him! He waited around for me and talked to me. I felt really bad...he had dr. pepper on his baby blue shirt...he looked so good in that baby blue shirt. Anywho.... We sat down and talked for a while and got a picture together. We're totally buddies now. He took the picture with HIS phone and texted it to MEEEE!!! *faint now* it was pretty much amazing. He thinks its amazing that I play a few instruments...and that i'm an education major. hahaha. It was amazing. So bittersweet....Dr. Pepper could have possibly gotten me into a federal prison....but instead I met one of my favorite band members of all time!
Win for me?
I think yes!!!

Disneyworld!

T-Minus 1 hour until I am on my way to the shuttle....to go to Salt Lake City Airport.....To go to Disneyworld!!!! Let me just say how dang excited I am to go have 3 fun filled days with my momma! Its gonna be great :) Oh. And life is well. Sorry I haven't updated this in like 3 days. I feel kinda bad. So life is good...school is stressful....people are crazy....and Disneyworld is amazingggg :) Post pictures when i'm back! <3

Presentation Day

I have to give a huge presentation in my History of Education class today. I got here 45 minutes early...thats how stressed out I was. First of all....walking to school...its windy and cold and I have to wear a dress. So my dress is blowing up EVERYWHERE. So embarrassing. Luckily my old FHE brother saw me, stopped and picked me up and gave me a ride the rest of the way (of course he was giggling).
Then I got here and i'm just waiting...I'm shaking so bad I can hardly type this. Oh well :/
Well hopefully this goes well.

Follow Up....

So the last story I posted was about a couple sweet old ladies. At the end of their conversation one said "I gotta get me into one of those singles wards!"

NO JOKE I saw her walking around at church today. I don't know how but I think she got herself in. hahahaha.

Oh Old People....How I Love You Dearly!

So I am sitting in the hallway waiting for my classroom to clear out so I can go set up for my seminar...there were two very rubenesque older ladies ( probably in their 70's-80's) walking down the hall. I didn't hear all of the conversation I heard was ...
Lady#1: Well what happened to Kathy? She stopped coming to our lunches..
Lady #2: Didn't you hear? She went to one of those Single Ward's, or whatever they're called up here, and she met her man there. They're getting married in 2 weeks.
Lady #1: Seriously?! What is it called?
Lady #2: Singles ward, I think?
Lady #1: I gotta get myself in one of those. Who should I talk to?
This was an all to serious conversation and I couldn't help but chuckle......
To these 2 elderly woman...I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors to find a man before your time comes. Keep up your spirit!

Sleeping in the house of prayer...

Well everyone here at BYU-I DO calls the testing center the "House of prayer" because "there is no other place on campus that more prayers are offered" haha. So I was super tired and taking my child development test. I got to question #15 and I closed my eyes and I was out. I must have been out for a few minutes cause I was drooling when the guy that walks around and monitors was shaking me to wake me up. When he woke me up he was like "Hey! I recognize you! You taught my academic advising seminar!" I was still groggy and just said "Ya? Did you like it?" He goes "Ya! It was great. You were super funny. You better get back to your test though..." haha. You know you need to go to bed when......
I fell asleep on my steering wheel (I was parked...just waiting for class to start)
In child development when you're watching the miracle of birth....Who could honestly say that SLEPT through that?
In the testing center....
and possibly in my gateway seminar tonight...I'm so pooped I don't know if I can stand up for an hour. Here we go!!!

PS! I got a 98% on the test. Ya.....my new game plan is to take naps in the middle of my tests. I feel like it is very effective.

The Irish Man

So my new testament class was cancelled today...but if we came to his other new testament class at 7:45 AM then we could make up one of our absences. I figured why not so I came. There are 2 irishmen in this class. One of them is making a ton of comments and he has an extremely thick accent. He keeps saying things like ...
"Methinks"
"Thou be doin..."
Its awesome. I am totally enjoying this. I want an irish man (he's married so he's out of the running)

I HAVENT SLEPT IN 8 DAYS!

Ok Not really....but hopefully you'll understand the humor after watching the video below....
So it is 3 AM....I have to wake up in 3 hours anyway... So I have decided to pull an all nighter and get caught up and possibly ahead with my work and homework so I can have an enjoyable stress free weekend. 
There is a little voice inside my head saying "This is a bad idea....." But there is an even louder voice yelling "Stay up! Don't worry about being tired! You can snort Dr. Pepper all day tomorrow!" 
Staying up it is!
What is even better....is I walked out of my room to go get a glass of water. My roommate is in our bathroom dying her hair. Its 3AM. Well played Jocelyn.....Well played. haha. I love her, she's so funny!
I'm gonna be productive tonight! And tomorrow I will just have to hype up on caffeine and go to bed early!

I don't know what to say...

I feel bad that I haven't posted in a few days. So I thought I would write a quick post. I am sitting in my marriage class and we are watching this move "Fireproof" pretty cute, but slow. So I decided I could use this time to write a quick post.
7 More days until I will be on my way to Disneyworld! I cannot waittt! Its going to be epic. I don't know what else to say.
Oh! Work through relationships. Don't bail. Anddd love everyone. Thats what I learned from this movie. It was pretty good.

Daylight Savings Time & Caffeine...

All I gotta say is not a good combination. It is currently 6:11AM here and I have not yet gone to bed. I think it is a combination of the time change, and the huge Dr. Pepper a date bought me tonight. The sad part is, I'm starting to get tired now...but i would only be able to sleep for 45 minutes before I have to wake up to get ready for church. So whats the point? There is none. Im just going to pull an all nighter.

Nap ~ 12PM-3:15PM
Library work ( Calling)~ 3:30-4:30
Sunday Activities ~ 5-9
Bedtime~ 9PM.
Im excited already....
This is so sad. I can't even keep my eyes open. I need another Dr. Pepper.

Stuck In A Rut...

Well. I finally got the Idaho experience. Me my cousin Sammy, and her roommate Mel, got stuck in an Idaho potato field in the middle of no where the other night. It wasn't even deep snow...we just were on the grass, which was covered in ice....and my wheels were just spinning and my car wasn't budging. We were trying to call people we knew to come help us and no one was answering. Finally this truck drove by so we honked. It was a super nice Idaho potato farmer. Long story short he hooked up my car and pulled me right out. Memorable quotes from this night were....
"I definitely had placenta on this jacket a few minutes ago" -Lady at Wendy's
"I could marry a Idaho boy" - Mel
" This is a nice place to have dinner"- Farmer
"Whoaaa there cowgirl!"- Farmer (By far my favorite quote!)
The sweet part is, when he was done fixing up my car he said "Have you seen the movie pay it forward? Well, I want you to pay a favor to someone else for me helping you tonight." I thought that was the sweetest thing, he is definitely making a difference in this world. So my goal is to pay it forward the next few days! :) I gave someone a ride home today....I guess thats a start, right?

Well the sun came out for the first time in weeks today. It was so warm all the snow is melted and no one is wearing coats. I really wanted to start to get a good tan...but I also had to work. So this is what I rigged up....
Please ignore my white legs haha. Im working on it.
But yes I was laying on my desk with my laptop on my stomach and dangling my legs outside of the window. I got some looks...but I don't care. It was warm. I got a little bit of color. And I got some work done :)

Today started off good....

Super delicious homemade biscuits and gravy and a large dr. pepper. Can life get better? I submit that it cannot! :)

Reading...

Well...I was reading an article for my marriage class. It talked about the decline of woman in the past 100 years. It talked about how most woman today don't have any sophistication and no respect for themselves. It talked about how men like classy woman. Someone who can hold a intellectual conversation, someone to impress their friends, and someone that they can take home to their parents. I decided I am not "Classy" enough. So I am going to start trying. It talked about how the main thing to become sophisticated is to read the classics. It will help better improve your vocabulary, language, and intellect. So what am I going to start  doing? Reading the classics. I had already made a new years goal that I wanted to watch less TV and read more...So I guess this is my chance. I went to the library and got the works of Oscar Wilde.

I have quiet music playing, I have hot chocolate, a yummy apple/cinnamon candle burning, and a warm blanket. Sounds like a recipe for a good night :)

Thats right...the semester is coming to a close in just a few weeks. Guess where i'm going to afterwards? I'm moving home... I have kind of been bummed about it, but after talking to my family a few times I'm so dang excited. Warmth, four wheelers, parents that I love dearly, swimming, and old friends! I actually think this is going to be a good summer. I miss my parents so much and I really want to spend a lot of time and do fun things with them this summer :) So as I was cleaning my room this morning this song came on on iTunes. I thought it applied very well and I had to share...

Dear Disneyworld,
I am literally counting down hours until I will be in your magical presence. I can't wait to ride your world famous rides, make magical memories with my awesome mother, and ooh and ahhh at your beautiful fireworks over your castle!

I've never been so excited in my life, I wanna cry! Its going to be the best 2 days of my life!

Ughhhh. Only 21 more days. I'm already getting way ahead on my homework and packing..... I know I know i'm being a little over excited...but wouldn't you be?!?!?!?!? 

Thank you for being there to pull me through the hard part of this semester...I don't usually say this so quickly to people....but.......I LOVE YOU! I just can't hold it in any longer.
