Just hang in there baby...
I've had a really rough morning and need to vent somewhere...so I go to the blog. For the past few weeks I sleep maybe 3 hours total in 30 minute increments, i'm so overly emotionally and physically exhausted from no sleep and contractions all day at this point that I can hardly function. Last night my contractions got so bad I ended up staying up all night watching parks and rec. This morning they are even worse... I'm just trying to hold off until my dr's office opens. I would much rather go there than the hospital to be monitored. So all I can say right now is "hang in there baby"...if not only for a few more weeks :(

Cram time..
I am 33 weeks and counting. My sister had another really cute babe yesterday! Seriously, you should see this girl! She is DANG adorable! However, I promised I wouldn't post any pictures until they got a chance too. But just wait until you see this girl. She is GORGEOUS! Anyway, back to the point.. I realized how quick we're going to have a baby and how not prepared I am. Basically I felt like I was talking to my sister just last week and she was like "Ya, i'm 33 weeks".
Last night I could not sleep, my mind was racing. Finally at 3AM I realized something... My name on my SS isn't changed! Maddox will have a birth certificate saying his mom and dad didn't have the same last name! I freaked out! What will our ancestors think of me and Josh and our illegitimate child?! He was conceived close enough to our wedding date that questions could be raised! haha. I need to get that changed ASAP! So after I thought about that then I started putting together my mental list. This is everything I would like to have finished in the next 4 weeks, so I can be all prepared and rest by the time I hit 38 weeks. Am I missing anything?!?
- Write thank you cards for the sweet baby shower I was given
- Change Social Security Name
- Finish Crib Bumpers
- Make/Hang Curtains
- Pack hospital bag
- Wash baby clothes
- Boil bottles/binkies
- Read parenting books so our kid survives living with us!
- Take CPR class (remember I told you i'm in that really paranoid mode? Yup...this is one of the results)
- Find a pediatrician (what do you do after you find them? Call and ask if they will be your baby's doctor?)
- Figure out insurance for the little one (where do I start?!)
- Make a list of people to call/text when the little one arrives
- CUT MY HAIR (I haven't cut it since our wedding....it needs done)
- Organize his room (put together dresser/find places to put all his toys/swings etc)
- Make a birth announcement list
- Make birth announcements ready to send out
I still feel like i'm missing things...but this is the basis list I was able to come up with at 4am today!
I'm so anxious to have him here, but at the same time I have SO MUCH TO DO! I hope it can all be done before he decides to show up! If anyone wants to make a visit to Idaho and sew his crib bedding together or something, i'm totally down with that, just so ya'll know. The offer is out there :)

Paranoid...
Well...the baby is on his way. I'm having contractions already at a constant rate...luckily they just aren't progressing me too quickly. So we could have a baby in anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks. It really will be a surprise when he decides to show up. Just praying for the best. So we are working on getting our baby stuff all ready. We've made the final purchases and are now starting to clean everything up and put it all together. Last night we started putting the bassinet together and realized we were missing a part. Josh started talking about how he could rig it up with a piece of wire and I lost it. I started thinking about how the wire would snap and our baby would fall, or how the wire could poke out and scratch our precious little baby! It's official ...i'm crazy. I worry about every possible scenario. I guess I am just paranoid about being a mom for the first time. Basically....our fish don't stay alive so all we can do is cross our fingers for the kid.

The Modern Girl...
The other night I realized how modern I have become and how much the human race is moving toward relying on technology. Luckily I have an awesome husband who still loves being a mountain man. If there was a disaster, with him we would have a chance of survival. So this is stupid, and I know you are probably all smarter than I am, but at least this is how my brain works haha.
The other night we were sitting in our living room and Josh said "It's cold out here". I was like "The thermostat is at 77. I would turn it up more but I don't want to pay a ton on our gas bill." Josh replied "We should go amish. We would be rich if we didn't have to pay power or gas bills." I then said (all too seriously) "Ya! We totally should! We could build a house out of sticks and mud and if it starts getting cold we can go collect the steaming cow dung and throw it on the sides of the house to keep the house warm." Josh just stared at me for a minute in disbelief and then said "...Or we could just build a house with a fire place in it......?" I felt really dumb for thinking of cow poop. But I just had a picture in my mind of when it's cold outside all the cow pies steam...so they would keep our mud house warm right?
Josh say's i'm thinking pre-primitive here. I guess this is just my mind these days. Our kid is going to be pretty smart from all the brain's he's stealing from me. Anyone else agree with my mud house idea or have I just completely lost it? :) haha.

Prepping for baby...
So the other night me and Josh were sitting on the couch talking and it suddenly hit us. In just 12 short weeks (or maybe sooner) we will have a kid! This is my last week in my second trimester before my dr. is going to crack down about travel. We keep saying we just want to run away for the weekend, seeing as how its the last time for the next 18 years that we can just leave for the weekend without having to find a babysitter or taking little Maddox with us. Don't get me wrong, we are so excited to have him!
I do feel unprepared though..I need to finish making his bedding, wash a ton of clothes and organize his room, make curtains, buy the rest of the stuff, etc. It doesn't seem like as much written down, but when I start to think about it all I get overwhelmed.
I did do a little project this weekend. I have this awesome family from my home ward that I just love to death. They were so amazing and as soon as they found out that I was pregnant they offered me a TON of awesome baby stuff. They have seriously saved our lives! There is no way we could have gotten everything they gave us. Little Maddox is one lucky kid! So this weekend I found a really cute piece of fabric that matched his style and I wanted to cover something in it. So I decided to cover a bouncy chair. Here are the before and after pics.

Still so much to do, but hopefully it will keep us busy and occupied while we anxiously await his arrival!

Summer sick...
This is my diagnosis for my longing for summer. It's like homesick...but summer sick. My heart aches for summer. I always crave summertime. Days like these in Rexburg (where the snow is so thick floating through the air you can't see 10 feet in front of you and your windshield freezes over before the defroster can catch up) make me wish that we lived in California. Does California appeal to everyone like it appeals to me? I have daydreams about living on the coast of California...where the sun is always shining, you can smell the salt in the air, and it is never to warm or to cold. One day....hopefully... we will be able to live out our dreams in California. This picture is my dream place...walking on the beach and the pier at night....mmm.
Summertime is my favorite time. I love swimming, the snow cones, the shorts and flip flops, and feeling the sunshine on your skin. During summertime all I want is to be outside all day long...on a beach...soaking in the sun. Why does it always have to pass by so fast and take so long to come around again? I guess thats what we get for living in Idaho right? A short...sweet...summer. I close my eyes and remember the summer evenings we would lay on the grass on a blanket and watch the sunset and listen to the crickets chirp...I miss it so much....
I am slowly counting down the days until this next summer begins. I can't wait to have our little baby and be able to take long walks in the evening, go wade in pools, and enjoy the warmth and the sun. Take vacations to Nevada and spend our days out on the lake....And best of all, Josh having the summer off from school to spend even more time with me and Maddox :)
Can you tell how summer sick I am today? Does anyone else have this horrible sickness right now?

2013: Becoming a better woman
Well...2013 will be a big year for me and Josh. We have a baby that will be here in just 16 weeks. Before he comes I really want to work on being a better woman for my husband. Remember my husband project that I posted a few weeks back? Well ya. I promise I didn't procrastinate it for too long. Tomorrow it goes into effect (read about the details below).
On top of the husband project I have a few other New Years resolutions that I want to be held accountable for.
#1- I want to be able to budget us better. We actually stick to our budget really good. But there is always places for cutbacks, and the more cutbacks the more our child has towards college.
#2- I want to get cute every day. This doesn't mean I have to do full on make up every day, but at least some make up, and at least lip stick and perfume.
#3- After the baby is born I want to get back down to 115 pounds. No better time to start your new years work out than 4 months late, right?
I truly am determined to become a better wife for the husband that is so amazing to me that sometimes I honestly don't understand what I did to get so dang lucky!
As for tomorrow's husband project this is what I have planned. I have already asked Josh if he would go on a date with me tomorrow and he said yes. He works until 8:15 but then after that I am going to bring him home to the best date ever.
I am going to have an awesome fort set up in front of our TV (including lights strung through the ceiling on the inside.
I am going to rent a really good action packed intense movie. He really loves these movies, lately i'm not so found of them, but tonight is HIS night.
For dinner I am making slow cooked ribs slathered in gourmet BBQ sauce, Baked potatoes with bits of bacon and butter, and grilled asparagus with parmesan cheese.
And as always, suggestions are always welcome! Any ideas on awesome movies that men just love?
